[Holiday 2016] NARS Mind Game Velvet Lip Glide Set Review

Image
This has been one of the most sought after holiday sets that is out at Sephora at the moment. It has been out-of-stock and restocked twice now, and it is only sold exclusively at Sephora, so there really is no alternative way or venue to buy it. I feel really fortunate to get my hands on it.

Tutorial: New Years Eve Makeup Look (A Hint of Gold)

Image
It's literally two days before the New Year...well more like a day and a half...but the point is is that 2015 is coming to an end and 2016 is about to begin! Usually most of us celebrate the coming year with a party or a special outing. So for those of you that are still on the hunt for the perfect New Years Eve look, here is one to consider!  This look is more on the Natural side with a hint of glitz and shine.

Christmas Tag 2015

Image
It's the Holiday Season and I thought it is a great time to do the famous online Christmas Tag!  So let's jump right into it! Question #1: What is your favorite Holiday Movie? The Holiday feat. Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, & Jack Black. This has romantic comedy written all over it, but without the cheesy storyline. The story is beautifully scripted with a great story behind each character that is realistic and borderline fantasy. It also takes place in trendy L.A and romantic Surrey, England. I could literally watch this movie on repeat. Question #2: Have you ever had a White Christmas? I have never had a White Christmas but would love to one day! Even though I dread the cold. Question #3: Where do you usually spend your Holiday? I usually spend it with my family and relatives. We all get together on the Holidays, so we would all see each other for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Chinese New Year...then say Adios until the Holiday S...

For video tutorial, please click here !  There can not be a Christmas Tree without Pinecone Ornaments. So today's post is going to be all about Pinecone Ornaments. Since making these ornaments are a no brainer (just glue ribbon to a pinecone), I thought I should share with you on how I decorated my holiday pinecones this year!  So lets begin!

Holiday DIY: Paper Towel Snowflake Ornaments

Image
(For Video Tutorial, Click here !) This is a great holiday DIY project to do with family and friends. It is inexpensive, and it is most likely you already have the materials to make these laying around the house if you are a crafting lover.

Holiday DIY: Sock Snowman

Image
Arn't these the cutest snowmen ever! When I first saw this on Pinterest last year, I knew that I had to make them sometime for the Winter Season. Somehow I thought that these were going to be hard to make, but to my pleasant surprise it was so easy that a toddler can make one, which makes this DIY a great family project.

Sephora Holiday Gift Guide 2015

Image
Happy Holiday Season Everyone! It's that time of the year where we need to figure out what to get for those special people in our lives before December 25th rolls around. So today I put together a few recommendations that I saw on Sephora's website that I think would make perfect gifts for the beauty enthusiasts in your lives.

Tutorial: GRWM for Thanksgiving Dinner/Party

Image
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you have a great holiday of warmth and comfort which is the vibe I was going for in the look. The colors I used are all warm tones of orange, brown, and beige. They are the colors of Fall and Thanksgiving. I wanted the makeup to look warm and inviting, not too much because you are going to be around family and friends, people you should not have to impress...but we all know there's always that one aunt or uncle or cousin or sibling...good ole' family drama!  If you want to see how I created this look, here is a link to my video Tutorial:  "GRWM for Thanksgiving Dinner or Party!" I know I usually share with you step-by-step picture instructions on the look, but today I want to share with you some future plans I have with the eyeshadow palette that I used for this look! I am definitely going to do an epic series with this palette, because after playing around with it I can tell I had fallen in love. Everything about the...

DIY: Chinese New Year "Paper Fire Cracker" Wall Decor

Image
I first made one of these paper firecracker wall decorations last year but didn't film it. I did, however, filmed another DIY video for Chinese New Year called, " Lucky Liquid Gold ", which makes great gifts for family. Today's DIY is also great to give as a gift, as well as, a great decorative piece for you home. Hang it up amongst your other Chinese Talismans or scrolls, and the outcome is beautiful!

DIY: Valentine's Day "Growing Love" Tissue Paper Heart Flower

Image
What is one of the most common gifts that people give to their significant other or someone that they care about on Valentine's Day, that is not chocolate? The answer is Flowers!  Flowers are sweet and lovely but temporary. So I decided to create a flower that will not only last longer than a bouquet of Roses, but will also symbolize the "Growth of Love" within a relationship.

Tutorial: Urban Decay Vice3 | Holiday Berry Eye Look

Image
Another look from the beloved Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette and this time I came up with a look that fits the holidays perfectly. There's something about the cranberry or berry colors that screams Holiday appropriate, so I knew I had to use the berry column (column #4) in the Vice 3 palette to do a Festive Themed look.

DIY Holiday Decor: Halloween to Holiday Tree

Image
I am absolutely in love with the way this tree came out! It is just so beautiful, and it screams "White Christmas". I have it on display right now in my living room with a few tiny presents, white reindeers, and a nutcracker. Everytime I look in that general area, it just brings a smile to my face.

Easter Inspired Makeup feat. Wet N Wild "Art in the Streets" Palette

Image
I have always loved pastels colors, so it's not a surprise I like Easter. Sadly, I didn't grow up in a family that went to Easter Hunts, or dyed eggs, but I still love the fun and light heartedness that is the spirit of Easter. So I decided to create a look using these beautiful pastel colors, and keep the look fun and light, just like Easter.  Wet N Wild "Art in the Streets" Palette  (Review): Of all the new ColorIcon Eyeshadow 5 Pan Palettes, this one was the one that called out to me the most. The bright colors was one of the reason why I wanted it, but the fact that all the shades are matte, was the deciding factor. Besides, the rest of the 5 Pans have been done before with the other ColorIcon Palettes, more or less.  The Orange and the Blue are the most pigmented, and the long lasting. The purple and yellow are a bit disappointing (a good primer or base will be needed), and the green is just okay. For the value this is a great palette. H...

The Spirit of Valentine's Day

Image
This is completely the opposite of my last look, which is the Spirit of Anti-Valentine's Day. This is the Spirit of Valentine's Day.

Chinese New Year Inspired: DIY Lucky Liquid Gold

Image
Happy Chinese New Year! This is a gift that I made for my mom for the Lunar New Year. It has the gift of drink and chocolates all in one, as well as, a touch of the festive new year colors.

Image
"Inspired by the reminiscence of the past year and the celebration of a new year to come."                                                                                                                                              -em cosmetics- When I first saw this mini-life palette on em's website , I knew I just had to have it.
