Smashbox Drawn In. Decked Out. Holiday Collection Review

Image
Hi everyone! Today, I have another Holiday Collection to share with you all, and this time, it's all about Smashbox Cosmetics! Smashbox's Drawn In. Decked Out. Holiday Collection is one of the best holiday sets that has come out this year in terms of being able to try out permanent products from the brand without the bulky, over-extravagant packaging. The artwork on the packaging is done by Aritst Ann Strumpf, and each set comes with stickers displaying her artwork as well. From the collection, I picked out two that interested me the most, the Shadow + Highlight Palette Set and Be Legendary Lipstick & Lip Mattifier Set.

Image

Soft Green & Gold Holiday Eye Look

Image
Hello and welcome back to another blogpost and another holiday eye look. I was playing around with Chloe Morello's Pretty, Fun and Fearless Vol. 2 Eyeshadow Palette again, and fell in love with the green shadow Soul, and knew I needed to create an eye look with it, so here is what I came up with! What do you guys think? I know that the colors are subtle, but that's my thing. I love my looks to be subtle and natural with a hint of surprise, which is why I love this green color so much. The dark emerald green shadow changes from black to green in different lighting, and I think shadows that have that mysterious shift is simply wonderful because there is depth without needing to add a bijllion layers.

Halloween Look: Fantasy Alien

Image
Hi everyone! This is my last Halloween Tutorial of 2017. I hope you enjoyed at least one of the six looks I have done this October. Today's look is inspired by Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Stencil, Alien Fantasy Fairy. I don't know how fairy the look turned out to be, but I can confidently say, I do look Alien. I hope you like the look!  If you want to watch the full video tutorial on how I created this look, just click on the link provided.

Halloween Look: Unicorn

Image
Hi everyone! This is my 5th Halloween Tutorial. Just one more look after this! Anyways, this look is a Unicorn look. It is inspired by Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Stencil, Unicorn Queen, but I ended up creating a look that looked like this Unicorn is part of the royal court instead. Anyways, besides my short comings, I still hope you enjoy this Halloween Look!  If you want to watch the full video tutorial on how I created this look, just click on the link provided.

Halloween Look: Mystic Mermaid

Image
Hello! Here is my 4th Halloween Tutorial and this time, it is a look that I've been wanting to do a version of for the longest time, a mermaid look! This Mermaid look is inspired by Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Stencil, Mystic Mermaid. My sketch for the mermaid was a bit different than the one I created, but for my first mermaid look, I am pleased with the outcome, and I believe it lives up to the magical and mysterious name of "Mystic Mermaid". Backstory of the Character: There is no real backstory to this character, since I basically just freestyled everything. I still hope you enjoy what I came out with.  If you want to watch the full video tutorial on how I created this look, just click on the link provided.

Halloween Tutorial: Zombie

Image
Hello! Here is my 3rd Halloween Tutorial! I am on the roll with these Halloween Tutorials! I hope I can keep up the momentum! Haha! Anyways, this Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Theme is Catwalk Zombie, and just like the Skull Queen look, this is my very first Zombie look. Even without the prosthetics, fake blood, and other fancy products to create a gnarly zombie look, I still think this look came out quite nice. What do you think? Backstory of the Character: She is a model turned zombie, hence the theme "Catwalk" Zombie. She got bite in the neck, but the bite did not kill her right away. Instead, she died a pretty painful death as her body surrenders to the infection, and she eventually dies and wakes as a zombie.   If you want to watch the full video tutorial on how I created this look, just click on the link provided.

Halloween Look: Skull Queen

Image
Hello! Here is my 2nd Halloween Tutorial! The Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Theme is Skull Queen, and since this is my first time trying out a skull look, I thought I'd make it easy on myself and do half of my face. Here is my version of a Skull Queen. She is a leader of some badass gang, and her signature look is piercing eyes and a skull handkerchief hiding half of her face. If you want to watch the full video tutorial on how I created this look, just click on the link provided.

Halloween Look: Quirky Jester

Image
Hello! It's the first Halloween Tutorial! Yes, I know a clown or "Jester" look has been overdone, but hey, I haven't done one yet, and I know this will not be the last Jester look I'm going to do. For this Jester look, I wanted a fun, lovable Jester. One that wants to have fun, play little tricks, and giggle all day long.  So I hope you enjoy the look!

Beautifully Luminous but Matte Skin in a Primer

Image
I fell in love with this silky primer the very first time I tried it, and it wasn't a fluke either, I liked it just as much the second time I used it, and the third time, and every other time. This elf Beautifully Bare Luminous Matte Makeup Primer gives your skin a beautiful, luminous look without the shine, if that is possible.

The Perfect Summer to Fall Eyeshadow Palette!

Image
On the calendar it is officially Autumn...but tell that to the weather gods. It's still in the 80s and 90s here in the Silicon Valley, and frankly, I am really for everything to cool down! Putting the weather aside, let's talk about this gorgeous eyeshadow palette that I have finally broken out to use! It has the perfect colors to help you transition from a Summer look to a Fall look. I introduce to you, Milani's Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow Collection in "Earthy Elements" . The soft terra-cotta browns and orange tones bring in the fall shades, while the champagne sparkle leaves a trace of the summer. This is a beautiful palette from the drugstore that only retails at $11.00!

Too Faced Totally Cute Palette is TOTALLY CUTE!!

Image
It's a cute palette alright. With its baby pink outer cover to its sticker sheets, without knowing any better, you may think this palette to be a fancy kid's play-makeup set. Even the shadow shades are pretty darn sweet, ranging from a clover green to a duo-chrome champagne pink. But don't worry, it performs nothing like kid's makeup. Too Faced Totally Cute Palette, $36

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation Review

Image
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is probably the largest launch of 2017! Everyone went crazy over it. Beauty Bloggers were buying everything the collection had to offer, and new review videos are uploaded everyday. Now if you haven't heard who Rihanna is, then you have been living under a rock the past decade, because Rihanna is HUGE! Go google her, I am sure you will fall in love with her music.  Back on topic, Rihanna's Makeup Line, Fenty Beauty...now don't judge me...I was not as excited as most beauty lovers were. For me this is just a new makeup line among thousands of makeup brands that I have not tried yet. And from the mixed reviews online about the brand has me stopping from buying everything from the line. So when Sephora offered a sample of the Fenty Beauty Foundation, I snatched it up. Better to try a sample versus regretting a full on purchase, don't you agree? Sample of the Foundation I received, Shade #220, but I think #190 is the perfect shade match for ...

Image

So for those that have waited on getting this kit, your patience has paid off.

Lashes in Paradise! Does this mascara give you that?

Image
In the beauty world of YouTube, this new Voluminous mascara from L'oreal is starting quite a buzz! People are raving about it being the new best drugstore mascara, and that it was a dupe for the Too Face Better Than Sex Mascara. So of course, I knew I had to try it out for myself. This L'oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara retails at $9.99, and it claims to provide the lashes with "voluptuous volume, intense length, and a full lash of feathery, soft lashes".

Are you a Saint or a Sinner?

Image
Hi everyone! Today I will be reviewing Kat Von D's crowd favorites,  Saint and Sinner perfumes . These fragrances debuted years ago, and Kat Von D brought them back due to popular demand. I am glad she did because I never got to try them when they first launched.  Let me tell you, they are some pretty, darn good smelling perfumes, and the bottles these smelling waters come in are visually stunning as well.  As you can already see, I did not buy the perfumes. I was fortunate enough to get some free samples, and I hope you do not scuff at these perfume samples, because they can last a good while and are great for travel. Saint & Sinner does come in three sizes, 10ml ($22.00), 50ml ($65.00), & 100ml ($85.00)

Image
Hello beauty lovers! Today I have for you a well-known and well-loved mascara from Tarte Cosmetics, the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara . I am sure this mascara is no stranger to you. The Perfect Face Sculpting Palette!

Image
Guys, I found the perfect face sculpting palette! It gives the face a beautiful soft, chiseled look, where it leaves your face glowing and angled in all the right ways. This amazing palette I am speaking so highly of is actually from an extremely affordable brand, BH Cosmetics, and the palette is called the Rose Nude Sculpt & Glow Contour, Highlight, & Blush Palette . It retails at $11.99, but because of promos (that a quite common, btw), I managed to get this palette for only $8.03 (33% off). This palette contains two highlight shades, a blush, a contour powder, a bronzing powder, and a versatile powder that can act as a highlight or blush, depending on your skintone.

The Famous "Color Switch" by Vera Mona

Image
When I heard about a sponge that would allow you to do an entire eye look with one or two makeup brushes, I immediately made it my mission to find this sponge because the less makeup brushes you use, the less you will have to wash. I hate washing makeup brushes, haha. And I found one! Introducing the Color Switch by Vera Mona .

Image
Hi everyone! Sometimes becoming a VIB or VIB Rouge member at Sephora has its perks. Such as, first picks on this amazing Burberry Beauty Box that only VIB & VIB Rouge members can order early. I have never tried Burberry makeup before, so when I saw this $35.00 opportunity to test out four deluxe size "ICONIC" products from this brand, I jumped on board.  So were the products as luxurious as the name or price tag?

The Caviar Shampoo & Conditioner Set

Image
Okay guys, apparently caviar is really, really good for your hair! And because it is caviar...this Caviar Volume Body Building Volume Shampoo and Conditioner is pricey at $34.00 each with 8.5 fl. oz in each bottle. Of course I was not going to spend all that money without trying something from this brand first, so when I saw this travel kit for $15.00 at Sephora, I decided to give it a go.

The Master Blush & Highlight Makeup Kit by Maybelline

Image
Hi everyone! Have you tried this blush and highlight palette from Maybelline yet? It is by all no means new to the drugstore beauty scene. I believe I bought my palette about half a year ago...it could be longer, but I didn't review it, and that is be a total waste not to because this is such an excellent palette!  Ladies and gentleman, I introduced to you, the Maybelline Facestudio Master Blush Color & Highlight Makeup Kit . It retails at $12.99, for three pigmented blushes and a very glowy highlighter!

Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer...Is it worth the hype?

Image
Hello everyone! It's been a long minute since the launch of the Tarte Cosmetics Shape Tape Contour Concealer . Boy, did this product launch off! Everyone and their grandma has raved about it, how it was the best brightening concealer of the year. This concealer is so popular that Tarte claims, 1 is sold every 26 seconds! So of course I "eventually" picked it up, due to my increasing curiosity.  I have put it to the test for a about a week now, and here are my thought on this "magical" Shape Tape Concealer.

(Collab) Shaaanxo x BH Cosmetics 18 Color Eye & Lip Palette Review

Image
Yes, it's another Beauty YouTuber & Brand Collaborated Makeup Palette. These are really my guilty pleasures because I know that most of these products are no different than what the company already offers, just with a fancy name and a few dollars more, but I can't help but keep buying them.  1) I like support my fellow YouTubers, and  2) I'm just down right curious. So today I have the  Shaaanxo x BH Cosmetics 18 Color Eyeshadow & Lipstick Palette to share with you.

It's a "BIG SHOT" or is it not? (feat. Maybelline the Colossal BIG SHOT Mascara)

Image
To cover a mascara with a chrome plate of gold is a ballsy move. It is basically claiming this mascara is amazing, is incredible, is the BOMB! Maybelline even hired two big Beauty YouTubers, MannyMUA and MakeupShayla to be the faces of this mascara, and let me say, the commercials were pretty extra.  Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal BIG SHOT Mascara So...it is a BIG SHOT? Or is is not?... for me, of course.

Mattifying & Pore-Minizing?--The Milani Prime Shield Face Primer

Image
Hello fellow makeup lovers! Today, I have a primer from Milani to share with you. I was instantly sold on the "Mattifying & Pore-Minimizing" words written on its packaging. I love the ideas of erasing my pores...I mean who doesn't want smooth looking skin. Those pesky pores just get in the way on our journey to flawless skin! So whenever I see a product that promises to diminish to look of my pores, I am interested! Let's start off with the claims of the Milani Prime Shield Face Primer. This Mattifying & Pore-Minimizing Primer claims to soften the appearance of fine lines, large pores and flaws. It also claims to create a smooth canvas for makeup application while providing a matte finish.  So does it do any of these things?

"The Essential Rose Skin Trio" by Sephora Collection Skincare

Image
Hi everyone, I have been meaning to review this Skin Trio Set from Sephora Collections for a while now, and even though I used up two of these sets already (thank goodness I took photos beforehand), I still believe this set deserves a mention, since I have been planning to talk about Sephora's Skincare Line for a while now. So why not start now.  From Sephora Collection's extensive skincare line, the most popular by far is the "Rose Extract" infused products. In fact, if you look at the variety of products the Rose Extract is included in compared to their other ingredients, such as; Avocado, Green Tea, and Pearl, the Rose Extract ingredient is included in at least seven different products while the others average around three different products.  Today, I am here to share with you this Essential Rose Skin Trio that I purchase around the Holiday Season of 2016, and I want to let you know why the Rose Extract ingredient is one of my favorites in the Sephora Col...

Too Faced Unicorn Tears Lipstick vs. Wet N Wild Unicorn Soul Lipstick

Image
It's Unicorn this, Unicorn that, the Unicorn Craze of 2017! I don't know who started this craze, but I do know that Too Faced Cosmetics' Unicorn Tears Lipstick has been in the fore-front of this trend, and one of the first unicorn products to hit the market.  Recently, Wet N Wild came out with their Unicorn Glow Summer Collection , and in that collection there is a blue lipstick that goes by the name of Unicorn Soul, that strangely reminds me of the Too Faced Unicorn Tears Lipstick.  You know what that means!  FACE OFF! Video: High End vs. Drugstore (Ep. 5): Unicorn Tears vs. Unicorn Soul Lipsticks
