OFRA x NIKKIETUTORIALS Collection Review

This collaboration debuted on Wednesday, March 29th, 7:00 AM (PT). I placed my order at 9AM of that morning, and received my package on Friday, March 31st...that was fast...I am impressed.

This collaboration is between OFRA Cosmetics and Mega Beauty Youtuber NikkieTutorials. This comes with a highlighter wheel and three liquid lipsticks at $79.00. There is a 30% off coupon code, NIKKIE, that you can use, that will drop the price to $55.30.

Now let's look at product up close, starting with my favorite of the two categories, the highlight wheel called EVERGLOW. This highlight comes with three shades, created to fit light, medium, and dark skin tones. Of course, if you still find yourself not finding the right shade to match your skintone, you can always mix the colors to create your customized color.

The Dark highlight is a metallic bronze sheen with a warm undertone.
The Mid Highlight is a peachy-champagne with a warm undertone.
The Light Champagne is a shimmery shell, pink-beige with a warm undertone.

The quality of this highlighter is out of this world. The powder itself is soft and silky, and it glides on your skin like butter. They are also intensely pigmented! A little goes a long way, so if you prefer a natural sheen like I do, use a fan brush. But this product is a glow-fanatic's dream come true.

These powders also can be used as eyeshadows and a body glow powder. For example, the darkest highlight shade does not suit my cheeks, but it definitely suits my eyes.

You are definitely paying for the quality of the highlighter, because the packaging is made of cheap plastic with a generic, black/clear cover design.

Now let's look at the liquid lipsticks. You have SPELL (a Neon Coral with a Slight Sheen), NUDE POTION (a light neutral, nude pink), and COVEN (a neutral, metallic brown).

I can't say I am a huge fan of the trio, but the formula is good. The formula is opaque, long-lasting, and comfortable to wear. I'm more bummed about the color selection. The colors are suppose to compliment light, medium, and dark skin tones, just like the highlight wheel, but to me, the colors that Nikkie choice for this collection seem very random and a bit out of place. For my light-medium skintone, none of these color compliment my skintone well.

SPELL is okay on my skintone, and it helps bring out the warm tones within my face and makeup, but neon? Come on!

I thought NUDE POTION would be the liquid lipstick I would love since I am a nude girl, but it was too pale for my complexion.

COVEN was surprising. I actually liked this the most, and I find it compliments the highlight wheel the best. Of course, I don't have the confidence to wear this out, so again, another shade I will not be reaching for much. The only great thing about this liquid lipstick is that it makes a great Liquid liner! Makes me curious about how SPELL will look as a liner.

Because of the poor lip color selection, I don't find this collection to be worth its $79.00 mark.  Thank goodness for that 30% off code! However, it was fun getting to test out a few of OFRA's  cosmetic formulas. So the purchase was not in vain.

What are your thoughts on this new Collaboration between OFRA Cosmetics and NIKKIETUTORIALS? Let me know in the comments.
Happy Wandering, Alice.
