I consider face primers to be an important step when applying makeup, whether or not I use a foundation. That is because face primers can create a smooth layer over your skin, and depending on what kind of face primer you use, it can perfect the complexion of your skin. For example, you can provide your skin with sun protection, or mattify it, and even use it to minimize the look of your pores. Today I will be sharing with you my thoughts on the  Maybelline Face Studio Master Primes . There are three types of primers in this collection: Blur + Smooth, Blur + Illuminate, & Blur + Redness Control. Of the three, I have Blur + Smooth & Blur + Illuminate.

When it comes to contouring my face, I enjoy a light and subtle contour. With this Maybelline Face Studio I can not achieve that subtleness without being extremely careful because these are extremely pigmented!  Click here to see my First Impression Reaction when I used this product.

This really is a shine-free foundation. Whenever I apply it to my face, the shine is instantly erased and I'm left with a matte, powdery finish. I absolutely love the fact that it comes in a stick-form because it is just so easy to apply directly to the face and I just use my fingers to blend out the foundation. The coverage is about a medium coverage, and I don't recommend layering more of this foundation to get that full coverage, because it will look powdery and cakey.

Another new Matte Foundation and Powder for 2015! I'm not complaining, because I love a Matte look, and I am not complaining about Maybelline's take in their Matte line. I am also loving the fact that they decided to add this in their Fit Me! Line, which means more color selections, and that means a greater chance of finding a shade that fits your skintone! Right on the packaging it states that it is a "Matte" and "Pore-less" product. Two magical words that most of us, especially the oily-skin types, want from a foundation and a powder. "Matte" to keep us from looking shiny and helps control our oils, and "Pore-less" to give us a flawless complexion. Now who does not want that?
