Scrubs: Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator

Image
"Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator" ...those three words was what drawn me to give this product a try. Enzymes are known to help with the exfoliation of your skin, and exfoliation is key to the skin renewal process, which in turn keeps the skin looking refreshed, healthy and youthful. So I am a huge fan of Enzyme Face products. The Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face  Rejuvenator is actually Vasanti Cosmetics #1 online seller , so after reading that, I now have to see what the rave is all about.

Tutorial: Urban Decay Vice4 "Flame" Eye Look

Image
Flame is such a beautiful, vibrant orange-red shadow, and the gold shimmer just makes it even more breathtaking! I would have to say this shadow is my second favorite from the Urban Decay Vice4 Palette (my first favorite is "Grasshopper"). Layering it on top of Delete, a deep chestnut brown shadow creates an even more gorgeous color!  Here are the steps on how I created this look!

Skincare: Ole Henriksen "Truth Creme Advanced Hydration"

Image
Ole Henriksen describes their "Truth Creme Advanced Hydration" to be MEGA-MOISTURIZING with the finest ingredients, cutting edge technology and superior anti-aging results. Now, those are HUGE claims for just one product!

Nails: Sally Hansen Velvet Texture Nail Color in "Lush"

Image
I am obsessed with this polish! I love the rough-smooth texture, its matte finish, and the color is so unique! It is a gray polish with a purple undertone. Even though it is not your typical manicure pink polish, because of its matte finish, the color looks very sophisticated and polished, so it is wearable even for the office, and it matches everything!

Perfume: Mariah Carey "Forever" Fragrance

Image
"Forever" is a one of a kind scent! I still haven't smelled anything like this in another perfume yet. It is fresh, floral and sweet, but it has this whimsical lightness to it that I find refreshing and beautiful. "Forever" was made to represent Mariah Carey's "Moments of Happiness". The beautiful scent came out in 2009, one of Mariah Carey's busiest year in her career and life. Not only did she come out with new album and movie, but she also just got married to Nick Cannon in 2008. So Mariah had every reason to be happy and it really shows in this perfume.

Tutorial: Urban Decay Vice4 "Grasshopper" Eye Look

Image
"Grasshopper" is my favorite shadow from the Urban Decay Vice4 Palette . So it is only fitting that I come out with an eye look starring this shadow!  And here is how I accomplished this look!

Lipsticks: My Buxom "Mini" Lipsticks Collection

Image
I am quite proud of my Buxom "Mini" Lipsticks collection. I love the fact that they are small and cute. They make a great display on any vanity table, but what I love the most is being able to try out a few Buxom Lipsticks without having to commit to a full size tube of lipstick. *Buxom Cosmetics are sold exclusively at Sephora!*

Eye Liner: Kat Von D "Tattoo Liner" Review

Image
I can easily tell you why I love this eyeliner so much...and it's not just because of the Tattoo Queen herself, Kat Von D. It's the fact that this liquid pen eyeliner is just that good!  I was fortunate enough to get two free deluxe-samples of this eyeliner to try and when these two run-out, I am definitely getting the full size, priced at $19.00. (Kat Von D makeup are sold exclusively at Sephora )

e.l.f Studio Face Palettes Review: Blushes, Foundations, Bronzers & Contour

Image
Not too long ago, elf cosmetics came out with an entire line of face palettes in their Studio Line, which includes the following categories: Blushes, Foundations, Bronzers, & a Contour Palette! I have tried all of these out and am ready to give you my final verdict on them.  Find out which ones I find HOT and which ones I find NOT HOT .

Nails: Essie Gel Setter Top Coat & Ballet Slippers Set Review

Image
You have no idea on how HAPPY I am with myself for buying this Top Coat & Polish set from Essie. I almost didn't buy it because of its price of $14.99, and I just bought the Orly Color Amp'd Top Coat & The Boulevard set which also cost, $14.99. Somehow I talked myself into buying another set in such a short amount of time, and I am so glad that I did. The Essie Gel-Setter Top Coat is...  THE BEST TOP COAT I HAVE EVER TRIED THUS FAR IN MY LIFE!  And the color "Ballet Slippers" is a very pretty, baby-pink color.  It is a perfect everyday, matches-with-everything color.

Tutorial: Gold "El Dorado" Urban Decay Inspired

Image
This Fantasy Golden Look is inspired by  +Urban Decay Cosmetics  "El Dorado", a Yellow Gold with Gold Shimmer color. I loved how strong and opaque the gold liner is and wanted to reflect that in a makeup look. Since I am drawn to fantasy looks, this look ended up from my fantasy-imagination.

Cleansing Wipes: Burt's Bee "White Tea Extract" Facial Cleansing Towelettes

Image
It is made with 99.1% Natural Ingredients. You can really smell the tea and honey when you are wiping your face with this cloth. It even has that slight bitter scent that you find in tea. The towelette is extremely soft and feels amazing on the face, probably because it is made out of natural cloth.  However, it does not take off all the dirt and makeup from my face and I don't even wear that much makeup to begin with. The sheet is also smaller than the average cleansing wipe, and it is not very saturated so one wipe can only do about half a face, and even then it doesn't take off everything. I see this wipe more as a pick-me up wipe for days where you don't have any makeup on but you feel like your skin needs to feel refreshed, and I find the scent to be extremely soothing.

DIY: "El Dorado" Gold Headpiece

Image
I created this headpiece for my Gold "El Dorado" Urban Decay Inspired Look!

Lip Balm: CAILYN Tinted Lip Balm

Image
Isn't the packaging unique? It is bulky and unusual, but I find myself really liking it. I also like the built-in brush, which is necessary for this product, or application of this Lip Balm Tint can get quite messy. Precision is key when putting these on.

Blotting: Boscia "Black Charcoal Blotting Linens"

Image
I know, I know, $10.00 for a pack of Blotting Sheets!  The prices does seem a bit high for a bunch of oil-blotting papers...I mean you can use coffee filters, sanitary toilet seat covers, tissue paper...there are a lot of great cheap alternatives. However, let's compare them to actual blotting sheets you can buy at the drugstore and do some quick math.

Nails: Nicole by O.P.I "Feeling Very Cherry"

Image
The deepest of Dark Cherry colors. Think of the most beautiful, ripest dark cherry you have ever seen, this polish is the color of that Cherry. I really wish the pictures that I took could do the color justice but after many failed attempts...I figured it was best to try to describe the color and let your imagination help me out. RELATED POST: Butter London "Champers" Nail Color Review This Nicole by O.P.I "Feeling Very Cherry" is the perfect color for the dark Winter days. It has a deep warmth within the red, and the darkness fits the mood of the weather to the tee. It is so unfortunately that this color is now discontinued and is no longer unavailable...but I still wanted to share with you this beautiful color. A dark, deep Cherry polish is a must in your polish collection for the colder days. Happy Wandering! Alice

Face Scrubs: St. Ives "Blemish Control" Apricot Scrub

Image
A definite crowd pleaser, the St. Ives' award winning Blemish Control Apricot Scrub  is so popular that it technically has a cult following. This scrub is known to contain natural ingredients of Apricot, Corn Kernel Meal, and Walnut exfoliants for a deep, refreshing cleanse.  To be honest, I had never liked the apricot scrub. I found the natural exfoliants were to harsh and abrasive on my face, even though I did not have sensitive skin. So I never touched it until now,...

Tag: Halloween Tag 2015!

Image
I have thought about doing the Halloween Tag for about a year now, so I thought this year is a great year to finally sit down and answer some Halloween questions. I also like how these sort of videos allow me to share more about myself.

Contour: e.l.f Studio Contour Palette

Image
Finally an affordable contour palette that is available in the drugstore market! Introducing the  eyeslipsface Studio Contour Palette ! The packaging is the same as the rest of Eyeslipsface Studio Face Palettes, which included the:  Blush Palettes , Foundation Palettes and Bronzer Palettes , and they all costs $6.00.

Tutorial: Urban Decay "Vice 4" Look: Wearable Browns

Image
The Urban Decay Vice Palettes are always so bold with intense, colorful colors. Since I already did two colorful looks using this palette, I thought why not do a completely normal, wearable-look using a completely not-normal, colorful palette of eyeshadows. Of course the shadows that I used are the typical neutral shadows in the palette. Here are the steps I took in creating this look.

"Burgundy & Teal" Eye Look feat. Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette

Image
Here is look #2, using the Urban Decay Vice 4 Eyeshadow Palette ! The main colors I used for this look are Burgundy and Teal shadows!  And here is how I achieved this look!

My Go-To "Skin Refresh" Products

Image
I may consider myself a makeup junkie, a makeup addict, a makeup hoarder, basically every name in the book, but on most days, I actually do not wear any makeup. I actually feel most confident when I don't have any makeup on, however, nothing can kill that confidence more quickly than the feeling of dirty, oily skin. I have oily-combination skin, so my skin do get quite shiny mid-day. I mean SHINY. My t-zone area can produce enough oil to slick up a frying pan, and I absolutely hate it when I look and feel this way, but don't worry, I have reinforcements.  Here are the products that help keep my skin refreshed and clean throughout the day.

Tutorial for Fall: Warm Eyes & Nude Brown Lips

Image
When Fall hits the Northern Hemisphere, and the change of temperatures and darker weather starts rolling in, the beauty world starts to change as well. The deeper, darker colors start coming out to play, the burgundies, the browns, and other rustic colors. So I thought why not go with the flow and create a fall look with one of my new lipsticks and lipliners from Urban Decay named "Liar", which is a beautiful Nude Brown color. Perfect for fall.

Face Scrubs: Epice "Purifying Exfoliant"

Image
So I received this " Purifying Exfoliant " from an Ipsy Bag, and this is one of the few items I am very happy in receiving! I am planning on ordering a full size, once the company decides to restock their inventory, but that just validates how popular the scrub is. This is a pretty hefty priced product. At $29.95, you get 2.7 oz of product, and the 1.0 oz travel size still cost $11.99! So this product is not cheap. Epice describes this exfoliant as an "unique exfoliant because it is a moisture-rich formula, non-irritating and anti-bacterial scrub that cleanses with micro-fine polyspheres which gently exfoliates excess dead cells and environmental debris from the skin."

"Fuchsia & Emerald" Eye Look feat. Urban Decay Vice4 Palette

Image
Here is my first look using Urban Decay Vice 4 Eyeshadow Palette, "Fuchsia & Emerald" Eye Look !  And here are the steps on how I achieved this look.

Tutorial: Homecoming Dance using Drugstore Makeup

Image
This video was requested by JenniHawk! I hope you enjoy this look and I hope you have a great time at your Homecoming Dance! I kept the look clean, classic and affordable by using Drugstore makeup. I also wanted to create a look that will match any color or any style dress.

Foundations: e.l.f Studio "Foundation" Palette Review

Image
The idea of being about to mix different foundations together to get your perfect shade is intriguing and very practical. So when e.l.f came out with an affordable ($6.00) foundation palette , I knew I had to try it.  After playing with the palette a little, I soon found how versatile this palette can be. It can be a foundation, a concealer, and even a cream contour and highlight palette, depending of which palette you buy. This palette comes in three sets of colors; fair/light, light/medium, and medium/dark. I have the light/medium palette, which happens to be perfect for my skin tone.
