Nails: Wet N Wild MegaLast Nailpolishes

I have been wearing these nail polishes non-stop for the past two months. Not only are these colors appropriate for the warmer season, but I am a huge fan on its long-wearing formula.

Wet N Wild claims that these polishes have "a revolutionary resin polymer system that creates exceptional color adhesion to nails" and that it is suppose to last at least five days, chip-free.

So I decided to put that claim to the test with each polish by wearing each one without a base coat or a top coat, and boy did they amaze me. I was able to get a good week of wear with each polish. I did have a little chip-action on one or two nails, but nothing dramatic where the manicure looks horrendous.

Wet N Wild also claimed that these polishes "are calcium and mineral fortified to rebalance and prevent nail discoloration" and since I applied each polish without a base coat and worn each polish for a week or so, my nails did not have any yellow stains or discoloration which would have happened with many polishes if applied directly to the nails without a protective base coat on top of the nails first.

The brush applicator is on the larger end, so be careful or you can apply too much polish on at once, but because of its size, it allows a swifter application process.

Here are a few swatches of most of the polishes:

This is "I Need a Refresh-Mint", a beautiful mint-cream color.

This polish is very easy to work with. All you need is one coat and you have a beautiful, opaque mint color on your nails.

This is "Candy-licious", your typical bright, Barbie-Pink color.

Again, another easy color to work with where only one coat is needed.

This is called, "Heatwave" and this is a warm, orange-red polish. It is red indoors, but once it hits the sunlit it looks more orange than red.

Again, this is another easy polish to apply.

The blue, "Coast to Coast" is actually a limited edition shade from last year's spring collection (I believe).

The soft-pink color on the rest of my nails is called, "Sugar Coat", and this is hardest polish to work with because it is quite sheer. You need at least three coats until it is opaque and streak free. However, this is my favorite color because it is neutral and great for everyday wear.

The purple polish is called "On a Trip" and it is one of the easy-to-work-with, opaque polishes. The unique thing about this polish is that it is a beautiful violet shade in-doors, but in the light, it looks blue.

And that concludes my review on the Wet N Wild MegaLast Nailpolishes. I really like these polishes a lot, and the kicker is that it costs only $1.99 (at selected Drugstores)! Wow!

Happy Wandering! Alice
