Mascaras: L'oreal Voluminous Miss Manga "Rock" Mascara Review
"NOW MANGA EYES ROCK OUT" introducing fierce lashes spiked with attitude.
Can be purchased at Drugstores at $7.99 |
The latest of L'oreal's "Miss Manga" Mascara Series. This time instead of the promised luscious Manga lashes, this mascara promised the hard-core spider-clumps, but it was worded in a nicer way, "mega-texturing, spiky finish". So if you are a fan of spider-lashes, you will definitely enjoy this mascara because one coat of this baby is all need to get a thick coat lashes, and with two coats, you will have that promised spiked effect. I personally prefer to stop at one coat, for the more natural looking lashes but with tons of volume.
Left: No Mascara, Right: One Coat of Mascara |
In my last Miss Manga review (here), I compared the wands of the "Original" Miss Manga Mascara vs. the Miss Manga "Black Angel" Mascara, and there were no differences to the wands.
This time around the "Rock" wand is different in both texture and size. The bristles are rubber, and the spikes are set further apart and are visibly shorter than the previous wands. Shorter bristles mean more volume because there is less bristle in length-wise to comb through the lash hairs, resulting in its famous spiky-lash finish.
I do enjoy the volume it gives my lashes with just one coat. However, I would probably enjoy this mascara a lot more if it weren't so difficult to take off! It is as tough as a waterproof mascara but without the waterproof part. One of my biggest concerns about removing mascara is loosing eyelashes, and this mascara is notorious for that.
Therefore, I still like the "Original Miss Manga Mascara" more.
Have you tried this mascara yet? If so, how do you like it?
Happy Wandering! Alice
