Eyeshadow Palettes: Urban Decay "Naked Smoky" Palette Review
Surprise! Surprise! Another Naked Palette has just arrived from Urban Decay!
This time it's all about Smoky Sultry Shadows!
Those that are over Urban Decay's Naked Palettes need to stop being over it because this palette is different from the rest. This palette has everything from glitter to shimmer to matte shadows, with an array of different colors of both warm and neutral tones.
Let's talk about the case first. It is beautiful! The most beautiful packaging out of all the Naked Palettes. It is see-through with a smoky-wave design in different shades of bronzy browns.
It also comes with a double ended brush where both ends are blending brushes. This brush is actually great for slowly adding on color and blending it out.
Here is a closer look of each shadow with their swatches.
Descriptions of each color can be found on the Sephora Website. |
Each shadow swatched lovely on my arm, but with some of the shadows (particularly the matte ones) were a completely different story when I tried applying them on eyes with a brush. I find the matte shadows to be extremely difficult to blend with each other, however, blending a matter with a shimmer shadow is completely fine.
I really like how Urban Decay arranged the shadows this time around. Instead of starting with light to dark shadows, it is light shadows on both sides (just different finishes) and the darker shadows are in the middle. I also like how there are an array of different shades; there are pinks, bronzes, blues, grays, purples, and neutrals colors. This literally has every color to make any smoky eye you can dream of.
If you already have the Naked or Naked 2 palette, you can skip this palette, since all the Naked Palettes are able to create perfectly beautiful Smoky Looks. However, as a palette itself, this is a wonderful palette to have in your collection and the most diverse and different out of all the other Naked Palettes except, the Naked3.
Now what will they come out with next!?
Happy Wandering! Alice
