Review: (NEW) Physicians Formula: Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Extreme Shimmer Gel Cream Shadow & Liner Trio

Recently, I uploaded a Makeup Tutorial showcasing the use and application of these Extreme Shimmer Gel Cream Shadows/Liners from Physicians Formula. Not only did these products sparkle up my otherwise "over-worn nude look", but it still kept the look nice and natural that can still be worn during the day, despite the extreme shimmer.

This beautiful Trio can be found at CVS or Walgreens for $11.95. This trio comes in the shades: Champagne, Nude, & Mocha. The names are pretty self-explanatory on what color the shadows look like. The texture is slick, almost oily to the touch but once it's on your lids and sets the shimmer does not shift around. It works great as both a shadow and a liner, but I do recommend using your finger to pat this all over your lids.

They are not the most pigmented of shadows. So if you want to intensify each shade, apply a similar shadow color as a base and top it off with these gel creams. However, where it lacks in color, it does not lack in Shimmer.  I am extremely pleased with the amount of shimmer these gel creams pack on! They just add the right amount of sparkle to your eyes and because the formula of this product has a slight tackiness to it, the shimmer adheres to the skin well enough that the shimmer lasts for a good portion of the day (I haven't tested the 24hr wear though).

I especially love how the champagne shadow looks on the inner corner of my eyes. It really brightens up that area and the twinkle is just an added bonus!

These are just lovely shadows. They remind me of the New Milani Fierce Foil Eye Shine Quads, but Physicians Formulas' shadows are much subtle for everyday makeup. However, they both have the same concept of them being gel-cream shimmer shadows.

I wonder which other drugstore brand is going to come up with more of these kind of shadows because they are pretty amazing!

Happy Wandering! Alice
