Sephora Favorites: Give Me Some Lip Kit Review

This is my favorite Sephora Favorites to date. I know I said this for the last Sephora Favorites I bought, but this one topped it. The Give Me Some Lip may be small compared to the latter, but this little lip-shaped box consist of some awesome goodies for a great value.

You pay $28.00 for a Value of $97.00.

I already have two of these mini size Fresh Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatments from other kits, but I am happy to receive another one because this is a great lip balm. It feels a bit heavy on the lips, but it is extremely moisturizing and it provides a pretty, soft pink tint with SPF of 15. I love the fact that I have three of these to take with me when I travel!

I also have another mini-tube of this Kat Von D Studded Lipstick in Lovecraft, which I am again happy to get a back-up because this is a very pretty rosey-nude color with great pigmentation that feels very comfortable on the lips, and the wear is pretty decent. It lasts longer than a cup of coffee decent.

This is one of the two full-size products that come in this kit. This is the Lancome Juicy Shaker in Boom-Meringue, and it retails for $22.00. That is almost the entire value of the kit! I was extremely excited to try this, and this is the reason why I chose to pick this lip kit up versus the Give Me "BOLD" Lip Kit that consist of more red and darker tones. The reason why I wanted to try this is mostly due to its extremely cute packaging. It is meant to look like a fancy drink-shaker, and you have to shake it before use because the product is oil-based and will separate when its standing still. The sponge-tip applicator is so squishy and soft that it is such a nice experience when putting this on. Because it is an oil-based product, the formula feels quite slick and thin on the lips, but it is still very moisturizing. The product sinks into the lips right away for instant nourishment. It does lack on the pigment department, but the pretty and delicious scent makes up for it.

Now this Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Rakugien is pretty but quite underwhelming. Also, the small tip of product that you see in the picture is all the product you will get, which to me was disappointing because after two uses of this product I had already used a third it. However, in those two uses I was able to know if I liked this product or not. The color is pretty and the product does feel comfortable on the lips, but it was not special enough for me to want to go and buy more from the line.

Here is the other full size product that came with this lip kit. This is the Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in Stepping Out, and this is my favorite product in this kit. The coverage is pigmented and smooth. My lips literally look flawless, and it is a true matte! The most amazing thing about this product besides it being comfortable to wear for it being a matte liquid lipstick, is the wear time! I was able to wear this for up to eight hours without it fading! Also, there is little to no transfer! This is simple amazing! I have never used anything like this. Even though this is $24.00 a tube, I am definitely planning on buying more. Out of the 6 products in this kit, this is the one I highly recommend.

Oh, I remember when these came in the market. Everyone, and I mean everyone and their grandmas were all raving about it. I was interested but I wasn't interested in the price tag. So this is my first time trying this lip product. I do not like the squeeze-tube package, but I enjoyed the color and the mousse-like texture. The product glides smoothly on the lips with great pigmentation. I can see why everyone loved it because it is easy to put on and wear. I wish the wear-time would be a little bit better because the color fades quite quickly. A few sips of coffee would completely take off the color. Good thing it is easy to reapply without a mirror!

If you do see this kit in your Sephora Store, I do recommend on picking it up! It's a super good deal, and it also makes a really cute gift (since the holidays are a stone-throw away).

Happy Wandering, Alice.
