Origami Butterfly Series #2 Alexander Swallowtail Instructions

Hi everyone! Here is #2 butterfly of my Origami Butterfly Series, and this butterfly model is significantly harder than the first one, which is the Traditional Butterfly. There is a lot more steps, a lot harder tiny folds, and takes a lot more time to perfect. I know this from experience. It took me three tries before I was able to complete it, and it took even more practice before I was able to perfect this Origami.

History behind the creation of this beautiful butterfly, (story is taken from Origami Butterflies Book by: Michael G. LaFosse),

"Michael named this butterfly for Richard L. Alexander, co-founder of Origamido Studio. Michael has developed many swallowtail butterfly designs using the curling technique familiar to people who have folded the traditional iris or lily."

If you are up for the challenge, here is a video on how to make this beautiful paper butterfly!

Name of Butterfly: Alexander Swallowtail
