Eyeshadow Palette: Urban Decay "Naked2" Eyeshadow Palette

When this palette was "new", the Naked2 was a must have because it consisted of 5 never-seen before eyeshadows (Booty-Call, Tease, Busted, Snakebite, & Pistol) & it also came with the "new" double-ended, cruelty-free Karma Brush, exclusive only to this palette.

Now, the only thing special about this palette is the shadow, "Booty Call", exclusive only to the Naked2 (to my knowledge). So is this palette still worth purchasing? (In regards to if you still don't own the Naked2, of course.)

The only legit reason I can come up with that is a good enough reason to purchase this palette is that you do get 12 Urban Decay eyeshadows and the Urban Decay "Good Karma" Brush for $54.00. An individual eyeshadow from UD retails at $18.00 per shadow, and the Good Karma Brush retails at $20.00. So for value-wise, you get a lot. However, if you are warm-skin toned, you may want the Naked (Original), for the shadows in the Naked2 palette are on the cooler side. Even so, you can never go wrong with a great everyday neutral eyeshadow palette. Personally, I find the Naked2 to have more unique colors than the other two Naked palettes, but that is my own opinion.

Here are swatches of each color (descriptions are taken from Sephora's Website)
Foxy (cream bisque with matte finish), Half Baked (golden-bronze with shimmering finish), Booty Call (Shimmering Cork), Chopper (Chopper shimmer with silver micro glitter)

Tease (creamy pale brown with matte finish), Snake Bite (Dark Bronze Shimmer with Metallic Base), Suspect (Pale golden beige with shimmering finish), Pistol (Light Gray-brown with shimmering finish)

Verve (Oyster with shimmering finish), YDK (Cool bronze shimmer with metallic base), Busted (deep brown with shimmering finish), Blackout (Blackest Black with Matte Finish)

My favorite shadows are Chopper, Verve and YDK. Verve is probably the most unique shadow within the palette. I just love its taupe-silver shimmer it has going on. It is just enchanting! Also, Blackout is a great black matte shadow! I am really impressed by it because a lot of black mattes are usually hard to work with, but this one is so buttery and the texture feels like a soft charcoal pencil. ***For those of you that have never used charcoal to draw with before, try it. The Charcoal literally melts onto the paper and it is crazily easy to blend out and build up, and this is what Blackout reminds of.***

I do recommend this palette because not only is this a beautiful taupe-nuetral eyeshadow palette, that is great to travel with due to the metal casing, but it also has beautiful unique colors. I really can not wait to create a look using Verve, and it will not be a simple shadow eye look either. Something like this deserves something magical! So look forward to that!

Happy Wandering lovelies! Alice
