[Kat Von D] Lock-It Color Correcting Eyeshadow Primer Review

This eyeshadow primer is simply the combo of a primer and concealer put together. If you have prominent, pigmented veins and blood vessels discoloration on your lids like I do, you may benefit from Kat Von D's Lock-It Color Correction Eyeshadow Primer. This pencil does create a skin-color camouflage layer on your lids, leaving the skin tacky for eyeshadow to adhere to and stay put for a longer period of time.

What I appreciate most about this Lock-it Eyeshadow Primer is that this comes in five shades, versus other brands that come out with one shade and call it a universal color (when you know darn well, it will not fit everyone's skintone). So I really appreciate the fact that Kat Von D is smart enough to know there are many different skin colors and that she came out with at least five different shades.

I love the conceal part of the primer...the eyeshadow primer part is a bit disappointing. It does prolong the wear of your eyeshadows, but getting the eyeshadows to blend well on top of this primer is the tricky part. You need to make sure you set the primer with a neutral eyeshadow or translucent powder on all the areas where there is primer because one tiny un-set spot can ruin your entire eye look. That is how tacky this primer can be. It may not feel sticky to the touch, but eyeshadows seem to love it and attach onto it for dear life. Once they latch on, good luck blending them out!
