Lipsticks: e.l.f Essential Lipsticks Review

You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to the packaging. They resemble little girl's toy lipsticks and they feel just as flimsy. I was fortunate not to have any of the packaging or lipsticks break on me, but I have read a lot of stories where they did for others.

However, the lipsticks themselves are surprisingly nice!
They are nowhere near the quality of a high-end lipstick, but for the price, they are decent.

Eyeslipsface claims that "these are a long-lasting color and shine lipsticks. They are also rich in moisture that hydrates, conditions, and softens the lips."

First off, they are moisturizing! My lips feel great when I have these lipsticks on. The texture of these  lip products are smooth and slick. They are not very long-lasting though. I had to reapply every two or so hours, or the color will look patchy and a bit faded. These lipsticks also apply a bit sheer but are build able to a nice opaque color, and they smell like starburst. These lipsticks do leave behind a slight stain on the lips which is nice if you don't want to reapply the lipstick and would rather apply a lip balm instead, at least your lips still has a nice color left over from the lipstick.

There are 8 different colors available. Of the 8, I have two (Seduction, Sociable) and one discontinued color (Voodoo), and these are all $1.00 each. They can be found at drugstores and the e.l.f website (unfortunately, Eyeslipsface only ships in the States and Canada at the moment.)

Seduction is a Petal Nude Color.

Sociable is a Bright Pink. The most pigmented of the three.

Voodoo is a pretty Berry Nude. I wish they haven't discontinued this because I can see this color looking great for all skin tones.

These lipsticks are nice and affordable. They are a great source to try out colors you wouldn't have thought about buying. They are moisturizing with decent pigmentation. What more can you ask for in a $1.00 lipstick?

Have you tried out these lipsticks yet? If so, what are your thoughts about them?
Happy Wandering! Alice
