Hot or Not? Boe Beauty ($2 Makeup)

Sometimes going to a Walgreens or Target or CVS that is out of your way can land you a gold mine of makeup you would have never noticed at your local drugstores. This is what happened when I checked out a Walgreens in the next city the other day.

Introducing a $2.00 Makeup Line from Australia called Boe Beauty.

I was so excited that I picked up a little bit of everything from each category. I noticed that they have mostly lip products, so I have mostly lip products to share with you. However, there are a lot more products than I will be mentioning in today's blogpost.

I also wanted to point out that this is not a permanent brand for Walgreens. Once they are sold out, they are sold out.

So here is what I picked up to test out.

The eyeshadows are actually amazing. They are definitely worth more than $2.00. They are all pigmented easy to blend and last all day long. The pink cream shimmer eyeshadow's lasting power is on another level. You will need an oil-base makeup remover to take it off because even with a makeup wipe, it will not budge or fade.

The lips products are definitely a hit or miss. The High Shine Lipgloss is one of the hots on the list. It gives the lips a slight tint and stays on the lips a good few hours without the need for reapplication. The Sparkle & Shine lipgloss gives the lips a small hint of shimmer, but the pigment does not very much where it just pales your natural lip color. It is not bad but not the best either. The Smoothes & Protect Aloe Lip Balm was just cheap in both packaging and product. It went on clear and the balm disappeared on the lips within an hour. The Lip Butter with Shea is more of a moisturizing oil than butter on the lips. It is quite moisturizing but this also does not last long.

Now for the makeup tools. The Blotting Papers were actually not worth the $2.00 because of their size. They are actually half the size of normal blotting sheets. So in reality you are paying $4.00 for your average blotting package of 50cts, where e.l.f's Blotting Sheets of 50cts are only $1.00. The Makeup Removing Wipes were also not a good deal. It is great for traveling and the sheets are good quality wipes but you can get a better deal with other brands available at the drugstore (such as e.l.f Studio Makeup Remover Cleansing Clothes at $3.00 for 30 Sheets). The Nail Polish Remover Wipes are actually amazing! One sheet can take off all the polish from all ten nails, even though it can get messy. It is actually comparable to the Josie Maran Bear Naked Nail Wipes.

I wish Boe Beauty will be able to make their way into the U.S Market because they have some decent things at a great price. They do remind me of e.l.f's Essential Line, and it would be great to have another extremely affordable brand in-stores.

Have you seen this brand at your local Walgreens yet? What do you think about them?
Let me know in the comments!
