Perfume: Mariah Carey "Forever" Fragrance

"Forever" is a one of a kind scent! I still haven't smelled anything like this in another perfume yet. It is fresh, floral and sweet, but it has this whimsical lightness to it that I find refreshing and beautiful.

"Forever" was made to represent Mariah Carey's "Moments of Happiness". The beautiful scent came out in 2009, one of Mariah Carey's busiest year in her career and life. Not only did she come out with new album and movie, but she also just got married to Nick Cannon in 2008. So Mariah had every reason to be happy and it really shows in this perfume.


The notes of this perfume consists of Neroli, Lotus, Green Apple, Tuberose, Gardenia and base notes of White Musk and Exotic Wood. I don't know much about the scent combinations, but this all work so well together. You get a giant whiff of the Green Apple right out of the bottle and it settles into a sweet musk. It is a beautiful scent for the daytime.




And let's not forget about the bottle! The bottle is a gem by itself. It looks like a magical, quartz crystal containing an elixir of life, in this case, an elixir of happiness.

I really love the smell of this fragrance. It is definitely not for everyone because the sweetness is quite powerful, and can be one of those scents that can cause instant headaches. So if your sensitive to smells, you may not like this perfume. Another downside, is that the scent doesn't last very long on the skin, but if you are the type that sprays on your clothes, then you have nothing to worry about. (I'm the type to spray on my clothes, and I never had a problem with stains.)
