Tutorial: Homecoming Dance using Drugstore Makeup
This video was requested by JenniHawk! I hope you enjoy this look and I hope you have a great time at your Homecoming Dance!
I kept the look clean, classic and affordable by using Drugstore makeup. I also wanted to create a look that will match any color or any style dress.
Here is how I achieved this look!
Step #1: Face Primer
The most important step is to create a flawless complexion and canvas for the rest of your makeup. So use your most trusted primer that you own, where you know the primer will keep you skin shine free and your other face products intact throughout the night.

Step#2: Foundation
I recommend using a Matte Foundation without any SPF. This will look great for flash photography and it will keep your oils in-check when you hit the dance floor.

Step#3: Concealer
If you need more coverage, use a concealer, but you can also use a pink-base concealer to brighten up you under-eye area to liven up the face.

Step #4: Setting the Face
Where there is cream products, there will be creasing and melting. To prevent that you will need to set the cream/liquid products with a setting powder. The more finely milled the powder, the better it will be to keep from looking too cakey.
Step#5: Brows
A clean, strong brow can make any look. First use a powder to shape the brows, and then use a brow-tint mascara to comb the hairs into place.
Step#6: Eyeshadows
Pick your favorite neutral trio. You can really do no wrong with a natural look, especially when your brows already stand out.
Step#7 Defining the Eyes
Define the eyes with some eyeliner, and use a dark shadow to smoke out the area right above the liner. This will give you a smoldering effect without the intensity of a smoky eye. Don't forget to finish off the eyes by curling the lashes and applying your favorite mascara. If you are feeling fancy, go ahead and apply some falsies!
Step#8: Blush, Contour, & Highlight
Add color to the face with a blush that suits your skin tone. If you want to sculpt your face, use a cool tone bronzer at the hollow points of your face, and a nice shimmery highlight at the high points of your face. Remember to use a light hand to prevent from applying the powders too strong.

Step#9: Lipliner & Lipstick
Line the lips with a lipliner that is close to your skintone, and to give the look a classic feel, but instead of the obvious Classic Red Lipstick, opt more for a Berry-Red.

Step#10: Makeup Setting Spray
The key is to have the makeup last, so finish everything off with a Makeup Extending Spray. This will lock everything in place, and you can dance the night away!
