Lip Care: Mullein & Sparrow Lip & Cheek Tint Review

Love the fact that you can pronounce all the ingredients used to make this Lip & Cheek Tint. Also, this is a 100% Vegan product, so it is very on trend right now. If you are looking for a beauty line that is completely Vegan, then Mullein & Sparrow may be the one you have been searching for.

Even though the ingredients are natural and organic, is it a good product?
To be honest, I had a horrible first impression. The product is oily, thin and provided no noticeable pigmentation even though it was made to be a tint for the cheeks and lips. Because of the slick, tacky texture I did not bother to use it on my face, especially when I decided to test the product out on the back of my hand to see what it would feel like on the skin, the swatched area felt sticky and it looked greasy. So there was no way I was going to have that on my cheeks. So the lips it is!

On the lips, the tint went on very thin and it just sat there on my lips. It didn't sink into skin to moisturize them, it didn't add any color to my lips, and it didn't stay very long on the lips.

So my first impression left me disappointed. Luckily I decided to give this tint another shot. This time I used it right out of the shower where the skin is more receptive to absorbing moisture. So this time my lips enjoyed it a lot more. It did take time for the product to sink in, but when it eventually did, I could feel the change on my lips. I still had to reapply the tint every time I took a sip of water because this tint will just not stay on the lips! However, I am still glad I was able to experience the good in it especially when my first impression was so bad.

This product is not the best. That's my opinion. It is just not long-lasting or moisturizing for me to use it as a lip balm, and it is not pigmented enough for me to use it as a tint. In conclusion, this product is not for me.

Happy Wandering! Alice
