Hot or Not: e.l.f Lipsticks (2015)

Hello everyone! Today I have a Hot or Not Cosmetic Collection to share with you, and it involves e.l.f cosmetics' entire range of lipsticks they currently have available. In total there are five different type of lipsticks, three are from their studio line (black packaging) and two are from their essential line (white, silver & clear packaged products). 

Like in every brand there are going to be some hits or misses. It is really rare to like everything a brand comes out with. So let's examine each type of lipstick individually.

e.l.f Essential Lipsticks

(Not Hot)

These lipsticks only cost $1.00. The packaging and formula of the lipsticks are a bit on lack-luster side, but you get what you pay for. It does apply on a bit patchy and streaky, but once you layer it on, the pigmentation is pretty decent, although the color does not last for very long. The lipstick also smells like laffy taffy which is nice. 

e.l.f Essential Luscious Liquid Lipsticks

(Hot!)

These are amazingness for $1.00. Although these are categorized as lipsticks, they actually feel more like a lipgloss, a pigmented lipgloss. What I love about them are the intense moisture these liquid lipsticks provide on your lips. The hydration literally will last all day!

e.l.f Studio Mineral Lipsticks

(Not Hot)

I'm just going to straight up say this, these lipsticks are not worth $5.00 a piece. The packaging is cheap, the formula are not up to par with a lot of other drugstore lipsticks that also cost $5.00, and the color does not last on the lips at all (2 hours tops).

e.l.f Studio Matte Lip colors

(Hot!)

Even though the darker colors are not as "Matte" as I would like them to be, these lip colors are beautiful. They glide on the lips easily (mostly due to its convenient packaging) and the pigmentation is great! A few cons are that they only last a few hours, and color transfer is a bit crazy. These do cost $3.00 a piece.

e.l.f Studio Moisturizing Lipsticks

(Hot!)

I saved the best for last of course! I am in love with these moisturizing lipsticks. They cost $3.00 and their pigmentation are intense! These you will need to apply with care because of how intense they are. They are also very moisturizing to the lips and they lasts for a very long time! They are truly perfect!
