Holiday DIY: Paper Towel Snowflake Ornaments

(For Video Tutorial, Click here!)

This is a great holiday DIY project to do with family and friends. It is inexpensive, and it is most likely you already have the materials to make these laying around the house if you are a crafting lover.

The basic materials needed to create the snowflake are empty paper-towel rolls or an empty toilet-paper rolls, some ribbon, glue, and scissors.

First thing you want to do is cut out the pieces of the snowflake. To create the sharp edges of the petal shapes, flatten the roll before cutting out the pieces. Try to keep the pieces roughly the same shape.

Then glue the pieces together, but before completing the circle, make sure to add on the ribbon. The ribbon is the key to changing the snowflake to an ornament snowflake.

And just finish glueing the ends together, and you are done!  There are so many different snowflakes you can make. You can make the snowflakes have 4-petals, 5-petals, even a many as 10-petals! It's really up to you.

You can leave the snowflakes as if, but the real fun part is decorating them. This is where you can really make them your own. There are so many different ways you can decorate, just have fun and go crazy! Here are the ones I created!
