(Q+H) L'oreal Voluminous "Superstar" Liquid Liner & Mascara Review

Here is L'oreal's newest addition to their amazing, fantastic, awesome, incredible Voluminous Line. Can you tell I am a fan? But really, I was so excited when I saw their new display at my local CVS store, and immediately picked it up...once it was on sale of course! 

I have put these to the test a couple times in the last two weeks and the results are...let's just say I expected more from the Voluminous Line.

Let's take a look at the Superstar Liquid Eyeliner first. 

This is a Felt-tip liner that retails at $9.99.

L'oreal claims that this liner can "create a wing in a single stroke with great control and has an  intense liquid black formula".

These claims are all true. I love the design of the felt-tip. Depending on the amount of pressure you apply you can quickly change the thinness and thickness of the line. The formula is also very black and intense. I also like the fact that the felt-tip does not dry up even if it picks up eyeshadow. 

Even though there is a lot of good points about this liner, I still do not like it and the reason behind that is that this eyeliner smudges horribly. 

The pictures above are how my eyes look like after only two hours of wear! I do not have mascara or eyeshadow on in the pictures, just the liner. It's really too bad because the felt-tip is incredibly designed, but formula leaves a lot to be desired.

Let's move on to the Superstar Mascara.

This Mascara retails at $10.99. 

It is a duo-ended mascara, where one end is the primer and the other end is where you will find the mascara.

L'oreal claims that this mascara is "Super-Voluminizing, Super-Extensive, and gives Superstar Lashes".

This is a fairly decent mascara. Step 1 (Primer End) coats the lashes (changing the lashes white)  giving them some length, while Step 2 (Mascara End) gives the lashes some volume. 

The wear of the mascara is great. It keeps the curl in, as well as, the length and volume all day long with no smudging or crumbling.

So the results of these products are a 50/50, one is a disappointment (the liner) and the other one is nice (the mascara). Would I repurchase the Mascara? Most likely not because I can get the same results from the L'oreal Voluminous "Miss Manga" Mascaras, and the Miss Manga only requires one step to achieve great looking lashes and it is a $1.00 cheaper than the Superstar Mascara.
