Lip Care: e.l.f Studio Lip Exfoliator Review
It is dangerously tasty...it tastes like packed brown sugar candy but of course I wouldn't eat it even if I'm starving to death...maybe...
This product is pretty silly to spend money on especially when you can make a perfectly decent scrub in your kitchen. All you need is raw sugar & honey or extra virgin olive oil. However, being in a lipstick tube makes this product extremely convenient to use, and to take with you on-the-go without the sticky mess. It also helps that this lip exfoliator costs only $3.00.
This +e.l.f. Cosmetics Studio Lip Exfoliator is also infused with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Avocado, Grape & Jojoba Oils, a few things that the average person do not have in their kitchen.

But does it work?
It works as long as you take the time to dampen your lips properly. What I like to do is take a cotton square, soak it with warm water, and press it against my lips for about 30-45 seconds, just to soften up the dry skin, and once in a while wiggle the cotton square a bit to really get the water into the cracks. Once you feel your lips are dampened enough, just rub the lipstick scrub across your lips several times. There is not need to press the lipstick hard against the lips for the loosened dry skin should rub off easily against the rough texture of the sugar bullet. After scrubbing, wipe off the residue with the same wet cotton square and apply some lip balm. You lips should be soft and smooth for days, if you keep it properly moisturized and drink a decent amount of water. Both things I am guilty of not doing! I should really take my own advice, huh?

The only thing that bugs me, but it really shouldn't, is that the lipstick scrub gets a bit disgusting looking after a few uses and it is quite impossible to clean it. However, this is a silly thing to be complaining about.
This lip scrub is great for travel. There is no sticky mess, it is easy to use, and it gives instant results.
If you are too lazy to create your own sugar lip scrub or you are not a fan of the sticky mess a home-made scrub is, than you may want to give this lip exfoliator from e.l.f a try. It's inexpensive and it works! There is also two other scents you can purchase now online!
Happy Wandering! Alice
