Before I even start this review, I am going to say, "Go to a drugstore at this very minute and get you one of these L'oreal True Match Cushion Foundations!" Yes, this foundation is that good, even with its steep price of $16.99, this foundation is worth every penny.
First off, this foundation is extremely travel friendly. It comes in a tightly sealed compact with two compartments. The first compartment you will find the mirror and a sponge applicator that actually works. The second compartment is where you will find the foundation, and this compartment is nicely sealed shut. So I can definitely see myself taking this with me on a long flight or long road trip without worrying that it might make a big mess.

This foundation is light coverage but can be build able to medium coverage without looking like you applied on a second layer. It will need to be set with a finishing powder, or you risk the foundation fading prematurely. That brings me to the only flaw I see in this product, and that is the wear time, which is around 5-6 hours. Luckily this foundation is easy to retouch without the heaviness of layering.

I have applied this foundation with three different tools: the sponge it came with, a stippling foundation brush, and the beauty blender. From the three, I like using a stippling foundation brush the most. I find that it is the quickest form of application and blending time, and it gives the most coverage.

What I am a fan of is the natural glow this foundation gives to the skin. The product might be sheer and it does not cover all imperfections, but it hides enough of the little things where your skin just looks like your skin but a more airbrushed, perfect version of your skin. It's your skin but better. It is also extremely comfortable to wear!

For example, let's examine the picture I daringly put up for you guys to analyze. The left side is where I have the foundation on, and the right side I have on nothing. It looks quite similar doesn't it? However, you can clearly see the foundation part of the face has less redness around the nose, the blemish on my cheek is less noticeable, as well as, the darkness around my under eye area.

This cushion foundation definitely sparked my interest in cushion foundations. So the hunt of the perfect one is on! Let's see if we can find one that I like better than the +L'OrĂ©al Lumi because this foundation definitely set the bar up high!
